My name is Stephanie and I am currently a Biology major at Scripps College, Class of 2021. I am one of the board members at 5C EMS. I was born in the Bay Area but grew up in Shanghai and Beijing. I’m fluent in English and Mandarin but also know Spanish. Growing up, I’ve always loved volunteering and helping people. Because my favorite subject has always been biology, it led me to want to pursue a future career in the health sciences. As a board member, I want to help educate the 5C community about public health. My goal is to work as an EMT after college and later study to become a Physician’s Assistant. Academically, I’m interested in anatomy & physiology, epidemiology, and biological psychology. Outside of EMS club, I write for the science and food columns at The Student Life. I also volunteer for Challah for Hunger and Tutors for a Cause. My hobbies include cooking, painting, reading, and traveling. After studying abroad in London for a semester, it broadened my love for exploring. One of my future dreams is to travel around the world, but we’ll see if that actually happens. Some fun facts about me: I’ve seen Friends at least 5 times and I love science puns.
