Hey! My name is James and I am a board member for the Claremont Colleges EMS Club. I have spent my 20 years of life living in Novato, a town just north of San Fransisco. I am apart of Pomona’s Class of 2023 studying Neuroscience and Psychology. After college I plan on pursuing a career in the medical field, but I know that is a long ways away! Currently, I enjoy exploring the Human Brain as we all know how important it is to us. To deepen my passion for the brain I am also an intern at the Center for Aphaisia and Related Disorders at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Here I work weekly with patients who have had a brain injury effecting their speech and communication skills. Back on campus, I also am apart of Pomona-Pitzer’s Baseball team and baseball has been a huge part of my life up to today and it will continue being a huge part of my life. I am also a Peer Educator on Pomona’s campus where we tackle topics like toxic masculinity, unhealthy relationships, consent within sexual relations, and more. I plan on using my role as a Claremont Colleges EMS Club Board Member to help educate not only our fellow students but also the community at large.
