My name is Emma and I am the Communications Chair for the Claremont Colleges EMS club. I run the all the club social media pages and website and I work to promote communication between club members and with the greater community. I grew up on Bainbridge Island which is a 35 minute ferry ride from Seattle. Now, I'm a rising senior at Scripps College majoring in Science, Technology, and Society while also completing a Pre-Med track. I joined the EMS club sophomore year after I attended an event put on by the club titled “Stop the Bleed”. At the event, I learned about life-saving skills that can be performed if one ever found themselves in a situation with someone who was bleeding, such as a packing a gunshot wound, or applying a tourniquet. After this, I became interested in gaining my EMT certification which I am now in the process of. My hobbies include playing tennis, drawing/painting/ceramics, and practicing German.
