Hi everybody! My name is Daisy, I’m a senior at Pomona College majoring in Psychology on the premed track, and I am the Recruitment Chair for the Claremont Colleges EMS club. I live in San Diego but grew up in San Jose, a city in the Bay Area. I have been working as an EMT since May 2020, and I’ve loved every moment of the certification process, training, and work! In the field, I am most passionate about equity in healthcare and cultural psychology. Both of these led to my interest in learning new languages––aside from English, I speak Korean, Spanish, and a bit of American Sign Language, and I’m currently learning Japanese!––and to my involvement in Pomona’s Culture, Race and Brain Lab, where I’m learning and applying themes in cultural neuroscience and psychology. Outside of the club, my hobbies include playing the violin and guitar, working on my novels, and eating sushi. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing group of people and to share my love for emergency medicine with the 5C community! Hit me up if you want to chat about EMT certification/work, psychology, the premed track, or anything else :)
